PULLEDTOGETHER X APHROCHIC | SMALL SPACE BITES IN THE MICRO LOFT

Just because you live in a small space doesnt mean you can create a BIG spread. For this 2016 Brooklyn Design show, PULLEDTOGETHER and the creative team at AphroChic partnered to share tips and recipes on how to create small bites for small spaces the "BROOKLYN WAY".

ELLE DECOR APHROCHIC X GUILDERY DINNER PARTY

Exclusively for our friends at AphroChic, we produced and executed a soulful dinner menu celebrating the vibe of old school Brooklyn and the launch of AphroChic's new licensed home decor collection with Guildery. Tablecloths, napkins and pillows from the collection decorated the gleaming dinner table alongside black and white table settings and gold flatware. A juju hat wall installation provided a striking backdrop, punctuated by a fragrant display of fall florals. Even the guest list was curated. With a focus on highlighting the creativity and diversity of Brooklyn we invited local actors, artists, interior designers, writers and fashion designers. A modern soul food menu featuring apple cider braised pulled pork, yam puree, cast-iron skillet cornbread, with apple chutney sauce completed the upscale, cultural atmosphere of the night as guests listened to a live performance by Grammy-nominated R&B singer, Maiysha. GENTEEL FLAIR X PULLEDTOGETHER | THE VALENTINES DAY EDITION

In a perfect world, I’d be celebrating Valentines Day by watching All-Star Weekend and going to the movies to watch the premier of Marvels, Dead Pool. But lets be real, my lady and your lady ain’t going for that. Like millions of other women across America, they are expecting some romance on the one day of the year where it matters most (it’s bullshit I know but you still have to play the game). And what better way to make an impression than by hooking up an epic and romantic meal. My friend, I bring you a two-course meal that even includes a wine pairing. It’s practically fool proof. If the recipe seems too much or you find yourself challenged, then just make sure you follow the images for inspiration. Hell, you can call me if you need additional help. Actually, you can’t call me. But regardless of your culinary outcome, I promise you she’ll appreciate the effort! Happy Valentine’s Day Bro!  Read the full article, HERE.
